At BDR Automotive, we give attention and respect to all women who visit our garages, whether they come in for maintenance, repair, or consultation for a vehicle problem. We especially value the talent and skills of the women who work for BDR Automotive, in the front office, in the garage, or behind the scenes in the back office.

Women in the Auto Industry… Meet The Leading Ladies of BDR Automotive

 

Nichol Apostle, Service Writer


Nichol Apostle joined our team almost a year ago and brings extensive management and service writing expertise from years spent in the automotive industry. Nichol is extremely organized and excels at customer service – one area in which we at BDR Automotive pride ourselves. Her communication skills keep the workflow going smoothly in the shop and help keep our clients informed of the status of their vehicle’s service.

Nichol attended Bristol Community College for business and was certified in Automotive Parts and Service Writing. She served on the Automotive Advisory Committee at South Easton Regional Tech High School and was Service Writer Certified at the Automotive Training Institute. Her expertise puts our female clients at ease, answering their technical questions.

On the personal side, Nichol is married with two children. She especially loves hiking in the White Mountains and reading horror novels. In her spare time, she is rebuilding a 1969 Rambler Scrambler!

Nichol says, “I love working for BDR … They show care and respect for all their clients. I love all the makes and models that we see in our service area and the range of repairs we do here – from general maintenance to the big jobs, like rebuilding frames and internal engine repairs! The BDR team is great. They accepted me into the BDR family as one of their own from the first day!

 

Amy Baker, Human Resources Manager


Amy is a lifelong resident of Holliston and has worked at BDR Automotive since the very beginning. Over the years she has been with BDR Automotive, she has acted in many roles and has established respectful relationships with the staff and the people in our community. Amy handles the administration and regular maintenance of our employee payroll, insurance, and benefits program. She also keeps BDR up to date with the Labor Laws and makes sure we are in compliance with employee standards. Her incredible organizational skills are a huge asset to BDR.

Amy attended Fairfield University, majoring in Organizational Communications and minoring in Marketing. 

She says, “I love working at BDR Automotive. The flexible hours allow me to be able to be home when my family needs me.” Chrissy Rossini, co-owner of BDR Automotive, says, “With Amy heading up HR, I am able to focus on our customer base, the employees, and running the day-to-day operations of the company.”

Chrissy is a firm believer in family and community. Her contributions to building BDR Automotive stems from her attention to detail, listening to customers, staff, and others. She takes special pride in all the work that is accomplished at BDR Automotive, as well as in each of the relationships that are created.

Chrissy handles accounting and the daily operations that keep BDR running smoothly. She is responsible for the procedures and policies that enhance operational efficiency. In addition, she monitors internal processes with the goal of improving the way BDR creates and delivers value to its customers.

Chrissy says, “As an owner, I love being involved in the company. I especially enjoy the accounting part of operations, keeping things organized so the shop can flow efficiently.  I can successfully be the General Manager and still have time to run a household with three active children. As the kids have grown, I have taken on more responsibility, adding marketing and advertising to my role.”

Chrissy added, “Brian and I are thankful that we have been able to create an environment within the shop that is casual – laid back – but also structured. We want our employees to love coming to work every day. We strive to keep a comfortable work-home balance for everyone. We are encouraging and provide support to our staff with out micromanaging them. Doing this allows us to stay flexible. It truly is teamwork for all of us working together. We look forward to what the future will bring for women in the auto industry. We hope to expand the business by building our clientele and adding more employees.”
