The vehicles we see the most for rust frame repair are Toyota’s and jeeps but we can handle any vehicle. We’ve had remarkable success even when the rust has gone completely through the box frame, drastically weakening its structural integrity.
BDR Automotive has expertise in repairing gas tank mounts, shock mounts, and forward fuel tank crossmembers in many vehicle brands, including Chevy GMC pickup trucks, Wranglers, and Ford Rangers.
Our comprehensive process spells success
Clean metal means solid welds, so we begin by cutting away rotted sections and cleaning the areas where welding will take place. After cleaning the rusted frame, the new fabricated sections are installed around the frame and welded in.
Every seam is welded completely, providing a lasting frame that is stronger than stock, and is ready for the road!
Differential repair – An example
BDR Automotive successfully repaired a rear differential case when it was rotted through and leaking. It might have been a lost cause, but BDR was able to remove the rotted section to make way for some off-road technology upgrades. A brand new and improved heavy duty cover was welded in – much thicker than factory, and made to last without fear of rot, rust, or leaks!

BDR trusts SafeTCap® in Rhode Island for its frame restoration materials. Their kits are engineered through best practices in their own Auto Rust Tech facility. Over 40 years of research and development have been invested in their SafeTCap kits, which are made in the USA using only American made cold-rolled steel. Each frame kit is assembled and welded by their certified welders.
